NASA SATELLITE PRE-COORDINATION

Satellite Coordination

Supporting a unified satellite coordination process for NASA missions and partner organizations.

As we update the Satellite Coordination website and coordination process, anyone interested in coordinating satellite activity, or login requests, should contact us at hq-satcoord@mail.nasa.gov.

NASA or organizational credentials may be required.

Unified coordination

A central entry point for satellite pre-coordination.

NASA has transitioned to a unified satellite coordination process. This website serves as the central entry point for satellite pre-coordination requests, including lunar satellite coordination activities.

Additional public guidance, reference materials, and supporting resources will continue to be added as the site evolves.

Coordination process

Clear steps. Shared mission awareness.

The coordination workflow helps mission teams identify spectrum considerations early and collaborate with the appropriate stakeholders.

01

Prepare the request

Gather mission, orbit, frequency, timing, and contact information needed for pre-coordination.

02

Coordinate and review

Work with NASA and relevant domestic or international stakeholders to address potential conflicts.

03

Support the mission

Maintain approved coordination information and access supporting records through the authorized workspace.
